It’s hard to believe that today is our final day in Europe! We’ve felt the trip winding down, and try as we may to insist that it’s not real, that we’re staying in Europe and starting the trip over again, it’s actually hitting me that in 24 hours I won’t be surrounded by 16 other people anymore. The past few days in Rome have been great, but exhausting. Despite copious amounts of caffeine and perserverance, we are not the same hyper group that sang on the subways two weeks ago. Now, we look more like this
Yes the past three weeks of little sleep, long days, late nights, and gelato are starting to hit us. So try as we might to deny that the end is coming, for many it will be a relief to have time to rest. Still, it will be difficult to fall alseep in a room all to myself without the presence of three other girls talking, journalling, and laughing. I would love to just bring everyone home with me, my parents would of course welcome them, but I guess I’ll just have to wait until school starts up again to be reuinted with my amazing, crazy CR4 family.
Final dinner and awards tonight, followed by the Trevi Fountain! I’m sure a lot of us will be posting final reflections soon so stay tuned!
